PTA

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Cherry Fields PTA are parents and staff members who arrange fun events in school to bring together the school community and help raise funds to support the children and the school in various ways.  We would like to raise funds to support school trips and enrichment activities, as well as contribute to equipment or materials for our children to benefit from.

We’ve had several exciting events to date, such as a Halloween Disco, Bake sales, Movie night, Christmas Fayre, Parents only "Quiz Nite" just to name a few. Our most successful fundraising events have been the summer fayres and sponsorship events.  The children have benefited from a sports sets for the school, sensory room equipment, outdoor equipment and a contribution towards the costs of school trips.  The funds are available to support future events, as well as our goal of contributing a substantial portion of the funds needed for a trim trail for the pupils, which will help them develop balance, stability, coordination, gross motor skills, strength and climbing confidence.

Forthcoming events:

Pre-Loved Clothing sale 30th January

Valentines Bake sale 13th February

How to get involved:

We are always looking for new members or new ideas, so if you would like to get involved, please do ask at the school office, or email us at the contact details below. You wouldn’t necessarily have to commit to every event, but every now and then some extra help would be greatly appreciated.  Fundraising ideas are always welcome.

We are all volunteering our time so the more help and ideas we have, the more successful fundraising events we can arrange and ultimately, the more opportunities we are able to offer our children.  We’d like to kindly thank all parents and teachers for their continued support.

Meet the committee:

  • Chair – Luaine Bandounas
  • Deputy Chair – Michael Offei
  • Treasurer – Parvati Krishnan
  • Secretary- Sophie Gadsby
