Nursery have had a very exciting week, this week. They have been on a community walk around our estate, looking out for key features such as bus stops and sculptures.  They have also been practicing their fire safety skills, enjoying toasted marshmallows around the firepit.

Fees, Funding and Sessions

Our Nursery year starts in September and runs through until July, this is called an academic year. Nursery is open from 8.40am to 3.10pm, Monday to Friday during term time, which supports the school day and our school holiday periods are the same.

We offer fully funded Nursery places with no hidden charges. Parents who can claim the early years funded entitlement can take their funding between the main Nursery opening hours. If your child does not meet eligibility for the extended entitlement, parents are offered the opportunity to pay for a place at our Nursery. Remember you may also be able to access other financial support towards your childcare costs, such as tax-free childcare.

ALL 3 and 4 year old children are eligible for 15 hours of Nursery funding a week from the term after they turn three, this is called the "universal offer".

Working parents may be eligible for an additional 15 hours a week, an extended entitlement and often called "30 hours funding".

We offer

  • 3 and 4 year olds - universal funded entitlement of 15hrs part time sessions - either beginning of the week, all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning or end of the week, Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday and Friday
  • Working parents of 3 & 4 year olds maybe eligible for an additional 15 hours a week, an extended entitlement and often called 'Working Parent Entitlement' or 'WPE'
  • Please visit the Best Start in Life website for full details on early years funding

Eligible working parents wishing to access the extended free entitlement can only do so the term after receiving confirmation of their eligibility and should apply for this a term in advance.
